博士、教授、博士研究生导师，国家首批神农英才计划青年英才，四川省学术和技术带头人，四川省“天府青城计划”青年拔尖人才。曾留学美国弗吉尼亚理工大学和密苏里大学，现任猪营养研究室主任。主要从事猪营养代谢与健康养殖领域的科研和社会服务工作，先后主持和参与国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划专项等省部级以上项目20余项，获国家科技进步二等奖1项，国家教学成果二等奖1项，神农中华农业科技奖优秀创新团队奖1项，四川省科技进步三等奖4项，科技部社会力量大北农科技成果奖2项；发表高水平论文100多篇，获授权发明专利6件。
